Castaway or Batik?

My friend kaorin use castaway well.I think she is castaway master and respect her.

Recently I thought about which is better castaway or batick for clear and brilliant image as background.

Then I tried to use castaway and batik.



スタンプ仲間のかおりんさんがいつもcastawayをステキに使いこなしているのをみて、なかなか使いこなせていないので、今回なんとなく使いたくなって実験してみました。

castawayは漂白剤がなくても使える、ブリーチのような手法ができるというインクです。


Castaway way
Castawayを使った方法



1.Rub the ink pad over the paper(DTP). I used Mement from Tsukineko.
Then spray Ranger colorwash "Lettuce".
メメントを使ってDTPし、Ranger color washのレタスをスプレーします。





2.Stamp by using castaway.

castawayを使ってスタンプ。






3.After 10minutes,iron over the waste paper using a craft iron set to the highest heat setting.

10分程度乾かしてから、アイロンを高温でかけます。



4.I drew a line and stamp some chicklets stamps(form just johannna's odd planet).

線を手描きでひいて、chicletsのスタンプを捺します。

Batik way

Batikの手法を使って



1.Clear emboss ink(or VersaMark) and clear embossing powder, heat set then wipe over with inks.

エンボスインクまたはバーサインクでスタンプし、クリアエンボスパウダーでヒートエンボスした後、
インクを塗り付けます。





2.Iron over the waste paper using a craft iron set to the highest heat setting.

高温で新聞紙などの上からアイロンを高温でかけます。





3.Remove the waste paper,then it appears like this.

faux batik



I drew a line and stamped chicklets on the line.

I drew gardlands and cut out.

線を手描きし、chickletのスタンプを捺し、ガーランドを手描きして切り抜いてます。





I think that batik way is better.

バティックの方がはっきしりているように感じますが、おそらくワタシがcastawayに慣れていないだけかもしれません。

castawayは出来上がるまでどんな色で抜けるか分からないのですが、上手にできるといいなーと思います。
